Leave Management

On monday.com boards, you can allow your employees to submit leave requests, link them to an approval process, and track their remaining leave days.

There are a few steps to follow in order to set up this structure. The first step is to create a board where personnel information will be stored. This board can include fields such as the employee’s full name, email address, and leave entitlement.

The second step is to create a leave request form using monday.com’s WorkForms feature. You can share the form internally within the company or even embed it on a website.

monday.com WorkForms can be used to collect leave requests. You can directly add your board’s columns to the form and share the form link. This way, you can track who submitted the request and related information directly on monday.com, and submit it for approval.

You can find detailed information on how to manage approval processes in monday.com screens here.

The form will also help you collect information such as leave dates and leave type. The details entered by the person filling out the form will be automatically reflected on monday.com. You also have the flexibility to decide whether weekend dates should be selectable or not—weekend selection can be easily disabled.

Once the approval process is complete, a notification will be sent to the requester, confirming that their leave request has been approved. Additionally, the approved leave will be deducted from the employee’s leave balance stored in their profile, automatically updating the remaining days.

Leave Entitlements

Leave days may vary per employee and should increase after completing a certain period, such as one year of employment. monday.com also enables you to manage this functionality. You can record employees’ hire dates on their cards/rows. Based on these dates, additional leave days can be added once an employee completes a full year.

Recruitment Processes

As previously mentioned, monday.com forms can be used for many purposes. You can use a similar form structure to collect applications for open positions within your company.

It is possible to create a separate form for each position to categorize applications accordingly. Submitted applications will automatically appear on your monday.com boards, where relevant personnel can review them.

The board where applications appear can be structured based on different stages of the recruitment process. In other words, you can track the candidates’ progression through various recruitment stages directly via monday.com.

monday.com CRM product allows you to send emails directly within the monday.com system. Considering this feature, if your application and recruitment processes are managed via CRM, you can send informational emails to candidates directly from monday.com and track their responses without leaving the platform.

One of the conveniences offered by this structure is the ability to create email templates. You can easily create and save email templates within the system.

When sending an email, the saved template can dynamically pull the candidate’s information and personalize the communication.

Employee Onboarding Process

Thanks to the flexibility of monday.com boards, you can create customized onboarding boards for new employees. By adding the new hire to a specific onboarding board, you can share information and resources with them step by step.

The File and Link columns available in monday.com will assist in sharing necessary documents and resources. New employees can mark tasks as “Completed,” keeping you informed about their progress.

The File column allows you to upload documents directly from your computer or from cloud-based storage applications such as Google Drive or SharePoint.

Please note that any document uploaded into monday.com cannot be transferred to cloud storage applications due to monday.com’s privacy policies. Integration is one-way only.

The Link column allows you to add links to resources such as video recordings or websites.

Employee Directory

You can create a database board to store employee records, including salary information. This board allows for easy updates and the addition of new employees. Fields such as CV, phone number, hire date, and more can be maintained to create a comprehensive employee directory.

Additionally, you can use forms (as previously mentioned) for managing advance payment requests. You can share the created advance request form internally, and submitted requests can go through an approval process.

Employee Satisfaction Survey

As mentioned earlier, monday.com forms can be used to create various forms. You can also create an employee satisfaction survey using monday forms. You can add rating scales, text fields, and more to your form and then share it easily.

The survey link can be attached to the employee database via a Link column. This enables you to automatically send the survey to employees at any desired time. Survey responses can be collected in a separate board for tracking and reporting purposes.
